Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Canada, Ben has been on skis for almost his entire life. By the age of 14 he had already completed numerous ski traverses and taken his first avalanche course through the Canadian Avalanche Association. It is easy to say that Ben has always wanted to be a Ski Guide.
Ben has been guiding professionally since 2005 and since then he has guided all over the world gaining experience. He is frequently asked, where is the best place in the world to ski; his response is always Canada, Norway, New Zealand and Japan, of course depending on the time of year. He takes great pleasure sharing his love for the mountains and enjoys motivating his guests to achieve more that they thought they could. Don't ever say you "can't" around Ben; he will take it as a challenge.
Ben is also a certified rope access supervisor and a registered EMT with the Alberta College of Paramedics. When Ben is not on skis he can be found hanging on a rope building a stadium, or working safety for a film.
